Airplane Noise

Postby rgwiazdzinski » Wed Aug 19, 2015 3:38 pm

Is it just me or do the airplanes seem louder, more frequent, and going into all ours of the night since the new runway has opened? I wonder what this is going to do to our property values in the area?

I found this online: http://www.steelecreekresidents.org/New ... tNoise.htm

It says that in noisy areas the airport might provide money for sound insulation. From the looks on the map, Mount Holly is nowhere near those noisy areas.

That being said, there seems to be some issues to talk about outside those airport areas:

I did notice the more noisy traffic begins each night around 10:30. I'm near Tuckaseegee Road area near 273. Honestly, it doesn't bother me a bit, nor has it interrupted my sleeping.

Maybe a new engine with 75% less noise will make this problem insignificant?
