Re: 2/8/2016 7pm

I want to add a good note about this meeting as well. I enjoyed seeing Rick Connell and Ron Ensley being honored at the meeting. The mayor does a great job at recognizing people at the meetings. I don't know Ron Ensley, but I still enjoyed listening to his accomplishments and dedication to our commu...

Re: 2/8/2016 7pm

The agenda to the city council meetings are publicly published a certain amount of days before the meeting so the public will have time to review and decide if they want to attend and even speak at the meeting. Re: 12/14/2015 7pm

The city council meeting for 12/14 was a great meeting. I enjoyed seeing the mayor, council persons, & a new police officer being sworn into their respective roles. Carolyn Breyare had a wonderful sentiment to share with us all about her service. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DA0HhshQ4cI&f...

Re: Mt. Holly Councilman Candidate Jeff Meadows

I will vote for Jeff Meadows for city council. I think Jeff will perform his council duties with integrity, and I trust that he will listen to the people’s concerns. My husband and I have seen Jeff & his family out & about the most of the candidates running for council. I have enjoyed meetin...

Re: Councilwoman Carolyn Breyare

Who has the most signs in people's yards? Many candidates seeking election to city council have signs in public places & they should. But, one thing that stands out to me is that Carolyn has the most signs in people's yards. That shows me that she knows & speaks to the citizens of Mount Holl...

Mt Holly - Truck Town?

Is Mt. Holly going to be a truck stop or truck drive thru city? Is it in Mt. Holly’s plan to be the industry town, while Mt. Holly residents shop & eat in Belmont, Gastonia, or Charlotte? The easiest place to see such a contrast between two cities is from either bridge at I-85. Which side has wh...

Arts on North Main

My daughter & I went to Arts on North Main 8/13. We had a great time. We parked at FUMC & walked through the wonderful community garden. FUMC had lots going on for the garden - speakers, cooks, and plants to buy. After we visited there, we went to Catawba Coffee which is always nice. There w...
